Hello!

My name is Angela and I have been running Kiddleydivey music sessions in this area since September 2016.I studied music at the Department of Music Studies on Durrell’s beloved island of Corfu with further accordion studies at the Richard-Strauss Conservatory in Munich. My interest in music and particularly in popular songs connected with a meaningful memory brought Kiddleydivey into my life in 2013. Through our therapeutic music sessions I feel that we are progressing on some kind of journey to become something more than what we already are. We have fun, interaction, communicating and, when the music eventually reaches its highest peak, we come out of it feeling life is worthwhile.

Music and songs that elderly people are familiar with act as a beacon to awaken memories and emotions. When dementia or Alzheimer’s disease patients who although may not be able to activate their short-term memory can still remember all the words to their favourite songs, this meaningful quote by Louis Bunuel comes to my mind again and again […] “memory is what makes our lives. Life without memory is no life at all. Our memory is our coherence, our reason, our feeling even our action”.

I would like to thank all the Care Home Managers and Activities Co-ordinators who have given me the opportunity to show them how beneficial our interactive music sessions can be to the residents’ well-being.

I run Kiddleydivey sessions in and around Brighton & Hove and am also delighted to visit customers who live in towns and villages around Henfield, Lancing, Lewes,

Littlehampton, Newick, Rottingdean, Seaford, Shoreham & Worthing too. If you are in any doubt or your location is not listed, please feel free to contact me or email Kiddleydivey UK at info@Kiddleydivey.co.uk.
